| I was able to meet Bonnie Raitt at a benefit for Planned Parenthood after her May 25, 1995, Charlotte show. She was exactly the same in person as I expected. When I shook hands with her, I extended my left hand, explaining that I wanted to get ahold of the hand that played that wicked slide! |

 | I knew she is an avid Jackson Browne fan, and also that there is little someone like me could give her that she can't get for herself. So, I made her an 8 by 10 of the Jackson Browne picture of him signing my guitar. |

Bonnie did not sign autographs that night.
She wanted to look at people while talking to them instead of looking down the whole time.
I did get her autograph after making a donation to Public Television!
