Eric Clapton

I've never met Eric Clapton. This autograph was collected by Michael Wehrmann, 70-40 Juno St, Forest Hills, NY 11375, 1-718-261-4183. He obtained it December 21, 1990 at Kennedy Airport.

And if there's any doubt as to it's authenticity, here's Michael with Eric.

In 1994, I wrote an article for Goldmine Magazine's 20th anniversary issue about my first Clapton concert. You can read it here. In Cleveland, on October 18, 1994, I asked one of Eric's crew members if he could get the article signed.

Obviously, I cannot be totally sure the Cleveland picture is authentic even though I saw it carried backstage. And it could be argued that the Slowhand album autograph is not genuine, although Michael Wehrmann is a reputable autograph collector. But there's no doubt this is the real deal. This is the label from my 000-42EC Eric Clapton Signature Martin. Each of the 461 labels was personally signed by Eric Clapton and C. F. Martin IV.
